Dominique Leveque F.N.P.

Addiction Treatment Provider

My name is Dominique Leveque and I am a dual certified nurse practitioner in pediatrics and family medicine, graduating with a Master's of Science in Nursing from IU School of Nursing and a post-Master's certificate from Northern Kentucky University. My primary focus in the last 10 years has been substance use disorders and addiction, whether it be opioids, stimulants, and/or alcohol. My continuing career goal is to decrease the stigma of substance use disorder; promote healthier, drug-free lifestyles; diminish the guilt and shame felt by my clientele and their families; promote harm reduction and naloxone availability. Narcan/naloxone, the medication used to reverse opioid overdose and poisoning, was once difficult for most people to obtain. In 2015, a bill was signed into law to change the availability of this life-saving medication, and I am proud to say I was instrumental in writing this law. With this change, many people have been educated by me on the proper use of Narcan and many lives have been saved.
